Creating Connections That Matter

Welcome to Watoto Play (pronounced wa-TOW-tow) - from the Swahili word for "the children."

We create neuro-affirming, trauma-sensitive therapeutic resources including:

Wellbeing & Educational materials, Training, Consulting, Apps, Websites, CPD, Databases, Programs, Cards & Games.

We also specialise in bespoke and customised solutions for Trusts, Charities, Social Enterprises & Organisations.

This weekly Creative Drop-In is a free, friendly space to explore how our tools can support you, your practice, or your organisation.

Why I Started Watoto Play

I'm Yasmin, a late-diagnosed, neurodivergent counsellor. For years I felt like I was "failing" - especially during my counselling degree ... essays i kept failing. With the right support, I realised my brain understands counselling theory visually.

Explaining ideas differently led - by happy accident - to my first resource, the Empty Chair Cards. The rest grew from there.

Our ethos: Creating connections that matter.
Our approach: Protecting curiosity.

Many of my tools don't come with rigid instructions - intentionally - so you can stay curious and discover your own ways to use them. And because not everyone learns as I do (I learn by doing and rarely read the manual!), I'm here to offer just enough guidance to help you get started and keep going.
